Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar (born 10 June 1993) is an Indian actress who works in Hindi television and Marathi films. She is known for her roles in Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur and Naagin 6. She gained wider recognition after winning the reality show Bigg Boss 15 (2021).[1]
Early life
Tejasswi Prakash was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Indian parents and was raised in Mumbai in a Marathi family.
She completed her education in engineering, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Mumbai.[2]
Career
2012–2018: Early work
Prakash began her acting career in 2012 with the television show 2612. She later appeared in Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki (2013–2014).
She gained major recognition with her role as Ragini in Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur (2015–2016), which established her as a popular television actress.
She went on to appear in shows like Pehredaar Piya Ki (2017), Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya (2017–2018), and Karn Sangini (2018).[3]
2019–present: Reality shows and success
In 2019, she played Mishti Malhotra in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka 2.
In 2020, she participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, where she finished in sixth place after leaving due to an eye injury.
In 2021, she won Bigg Boss 15, which significantly increased her popularity.
In 2022, she starred as Pratha Gujral in Naagin 6, one of the longest-running seasons of the franchise. Her performance in multiple roles in the series was widely noted.
She made her Marathi film debut with Mann Kasturi Re (2022), earning a nomination for Best Female Debut at the Filmfare Marathi Awards.
In 2023, she appeared in the Marathi film School College Ani Life.
In 2025, she participated in Celebrity MasterChef India, finishing as the second runner-up.[4]
Personal life
Tejasswi Prakash has been in a relationship with actor Karan Kundrra since 2021. The couple met during Bigg Boss 15.
