Kanye West
Ye (born Kanye Omari West; June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer, and entrepreneur. He is regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop artists of all time and is known for his innovative music, production style, and major influence on modern rap.[1]
Early Life
Ye was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He studied at Chicago State University before leaving college to pursue a career in music. His mother, Donda West, played a major role in supporting his early career.[2]
Career
Ye first gained recognition as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, creating hit songs for artists including Jay-Z. His debut album, The College Dropout (2004), became a critical and commercial success.
He later released several successful albums including Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, The Life of Pablo, Ye, Jesus Is King, Donda, and Bully. His hit songs include Gold Digger, Stronger, Heartless, Power, Runaway, and Carnival.[3]

Ye founded the Yeezy fashion brand and collaborated with companies including Adidas, Nike, Louis Vuitton, and Gap. His footwear and clothing collections became globally popular.[4]

Ye was married to media personality Kim Kardashian from 2014 to 2022, and they have four children together. He legally changed his name from Kanye West to Ye in 2021.
