Sandeep Bakhshi completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He further pursued a Postgraduate degree in Management from XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur. His educational background provided a strong foundation for his career in finance, banking, and insurance.

Career

Bakhshi joined the ICICI Group in 1986 and steadily rose through the ranks, holding key leadership positions across different subsidiaries:

• MD & CEO of ICICI Lombard General Insurance (2002–2010)
• MD & CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance (2010–2018)
• Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ICICI Bank (June 2018–October 2018)
