In 2021, Ankush Barjata founded Deeva with the vision to streamline the saree retail industry by eliminating unnecessary middlemen and connecting customers directly with manufacturers across India. In Shark Tank India Season 3, Ankush Barjata presented Deeva to the panel of investors (sharks), securing a deal of Rs 2 crore — Rs 75 lakh for six percent equity and Rs 1.25 crore as debt at 10 percent interest over three years. Deeva's business model focuses on connecting saree manufacturers directly with customers, eliminating intermediaries.
