Early Life and Background
Shriya Saran was born in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. Her father, Pushpendra Saran, worked at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, and her mother, Neeraja Saran, was a teacher.[1]
She studied at Delhi Public School and later graduated from Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi. She trained in Kathak dance under Shovana Narayan and developed a strong interest in performing arts from a young age.[2]
Career
Shriya began her career with a music video during her college days. She made her film debut with Ishtam (2001). Before the film’s release, she signed several big projects, including Santhosham and Tagore.
Her breakthrough came with Santhosham (2002), which became a major success. She later appeared in successful films such as Tagore (2003).[3]
