Popularly known as “Geetan Di Machine,” he is recognized for his lyrical style, global chart success and albums such as B.T.F.U. and Making Memories. He is regarded as one of the leading contemporary artists in Punjabi hip hop and pop music.

Karan Aujla was born in Ghurala village, Punjab, India, to Balwinder Singh Aujla and Rajinder Kaur. He lost both his parents at the age of nine and was subsequently raised by his sisters and paternal uncle.
