Raghav Juyal (born 10 July 1991) is an Indian dancer, choreographer, actor, and television presenter. Popularly known as the “King of Slow Motion,” he rose to fame through the dance reality show Dance India Dance Season 3. He is known for his distinctive “Crock-style” dance form and has successfully transitioned from dance-based television shows to mainstream Hindi cinema.

Early Life and Education

Raghav Juyal was born and raised in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, in a middle-class Garhwali Brahmin family. His father, Harish Juyal, worked with the Uttarakhand government, while his mother, Alka Juyal, is a homemaker. He completed his schooling in Dehradun and later earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from DAV (PG) College, Dehradun.[1]

Career

Dance Career and Television

Raghav gained national recognition in 2012 after becoming a finalist on Dance India Dance Season 3. His slow-motion dance technique and unconventional expressions made him a youth icon. Following his success, he served as a skipper on DID Li’l Masters 2 and Dance Ke Superkids.[2]

He later established himself as a popular television host, anchoring multiple seasons of Dance Plus, Dance Deewane, and Roadies Rising. His hosting style blended humor, spontaneity, and relatability, making him one of the most recognizable faces on Indian dance television.[3]

Acting Career

Raghav made his film debut with a supporting role in Sonali Cable (2014). He appeared in dance-centric films such as ABCD 2 (2015) and Street Dancer 3D (2020). In 2023, he featured in the commercial Hindi film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

In 2024, he received widespread critical acclaim for portraying the violent antagonist Fani in the action thriller Kill. The performance marked a turning point in his career, establishing him as a serious actor beyond dance and hosting roles. He also appeared in the web series Gyaarah Gyaarah (2024) and The Ba*ds of Bollywood (2025).[4]
