Pooja Hegde was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a Tulu-speaking Bunt family. Her father, Manjunath Hegde, is a lawyer, and her mother, Lata Hegde, is an entrepreneur.[1]
She completed her schooling in Mumbai and later studied commerce at M. M. K. College. During her college years, she actively participated in dance and cultural events.[2]
She started her career in modeling and participated in beauty pageants. In 2010, she became the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India pageant.
Acting Career
Pooja Hegde made her film debut with the Tamil film Mugamoodi in 2012. She later entered Telugu cinema with Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda in 2014.
She made her Bollywood debut with Mohenjo Daro opposite Hrithik Roshan in 2016.
