Kim Sharma (born 21 January 1980) is an Indian actress and model who worked mainly in Hindi and Telugu films. She made her acting debut with Mohabbatein (2000), which brought her recognition.

Early Life and Background

Kim Sharma was born in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. She comes from a mixed cultural background, with a Hindu father and a Christian mother. She was raised in a Christian environment.[1]

She studied at a boarding school in Panchgani, Maharashtra. After completing her schooling, she chose not to continue further studies.[2]

Career

Kim Sharma started her career as a model. She appeared in advertisements for brands like Close-Up, Sunsilk, Pepsi, Tata Safari, Ponds, Fair & Lovely, and Clean & Clear. She was also the brand ambassador of Olay in India.

She made her film debut with Mohabbatein (2000), directed by Aditya Chopra. The film was a major success and helped her gain popularity.

She later appeared in films such as Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai (2002), Khadgam (2002), Fida (2004), and Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story (2005).

She continued working in films but gradually reduced her appearances after 2010. She also made special appearances in songs and supporting roles in films.

Personal Life

Kim Sharma married businessman Ali Punjani in 2010. The couple separated and divorced in 2016.

She has been in relationships with several public figures, including tennis player Leander Paes.

She enjoys reading and traveling in her free time.
