Drake (born Aubrey Drake Graham; October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur. He is regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop artists of his generation and is known for blending rap with R&B melodies.[1]

Early Life

Drake was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He attended Forest Hill Collegiate Institute and later appeared in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation, where he played Jimmy Brooks before pursuing music full-time.[2]

Career

Drake began his music career by releasing the mixtapes Room for Improvement, Comeback Season, and So Far Gone, which earned him a contract with Young Money Entertainment.

His debut album Thank Me Later (2010) reached number one on the Billboard 200. He later released successful albums including Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, Views, Scorpion, Certified Lover Boy, For All the Dogs, and Iceman. His biggest hit songs include God's Plan, One Dance, Hotline Bling, In My Feelings, and Best I Ever Had.[3]

Business Ventures

Drake is the founder of OVO Sound and co-founder of DreamCrew. He has partnerships with Nike through the NOCTA brand and has served as the global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors.[4]

Drake is known for his luxurious lifestyle and philanthropy. He is the father of one son and owns several luxury properties in Canada and the United States.[5]
