Anushka Sharma (born 1 May 1988) is an Indian actress and film producer who works predominantly in Hindi cinema. She is regarded as one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in India. She made her acting debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), which earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Early Life and Education
Anushka Sharma was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, into an Army family. Her father, Ajay Kumar Sharma, served as an Army officer, and her mother, Ashima Sharma, is a homemaker. She has an elder brother, Karnesh Sharma, who has worked in the Merchant Navy and later became a film producer.[1]
She was raised in Bengaluru and completed her schooling there. She later pursued higher education and earned a degree in Economics through correspondence studies. After completing her studies, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modeling.[2]
