Suryakumar Ashok Yadav (born 14 September 1990) is an Indian international cricketer and the current T20I captain of the Indian cricket team. Renowned for his 360-degree stroke play and aggressive batting, he is often called “Mr. 360” of Indian cricket. Representing India in all formats, Yadav has become one of the most entertaining and dependable players in modern-day limited-overs cricket. He plays domestic cricket for Mumbai and represents the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).[1]

Early Life & Education

Suryakumar Yadav was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a middle-class family. His father, Ashok Kumar Yadav, worked at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), and his mother, Swapna Yadav, was a homemaker. From a young age, Suryakumar showed an interest in cricket, practicing in the streets and local grounds of Chembur. He studied at Pillai College of Arts, Commerce, and Science in Mumbai, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Under the guidance of coach Anoop Kumar, he trained rigorously at Elf Vengsarkar Academy, where his talent began to shine.[2]

Domestic and IPL Career

Yadav made his domestic debut for Mumbai in 2010 and quickly became a reliable middle-order batsman. His IPL journey began with Mumbai Indians before moving to Kolkata Knight Riders (2014–2017), where he was instrumental as a finisher. In 2018, he rejoined Mumbai Indians and became a core member of the squad, helping them win multiple IPL titles.
