Addison Rae Easterling (born October 6, 2000) is an American singer, actress, and social media personality. She rose to prominence in 2019 through TikTok, where she became one of the platform's most-followed creators. She later expanded into music and acting, gaining recognition in both industries.[1]
Early Life and Education
Addison Rae was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Monty Lopez and Sheri Easterling. She has two younger brothers and an older half-sister. Rae is of mixed ancestry, including Mexican, Cajun French, and English descent.
She began competitive dancing at the age of six and participated in national dance competitions. Rae briefly attended Louisiana State University, where she studied broadcast journalism before leaving to pursue her social media career full-time.[2]

Social media rise (2019–2021)
Rae joined TikTok in July 2019, posting dance videos to trending songs. Within a few months, she gained over one million followers and quickly became one of the platform's most popular creators. She briefly joined The Hype House collective and signed with talent agency WME in 2020.
In 2021, Rae released her debut single "Obsessed" and made her acting debut in the Netflix film He's All That. The film became widely streamed upon release.[3]

In 2023, Rae released her debut EP AR, which received positive reviews. She also appeared in the horror film Thanksgiving.
In 2024, Rae signed with Columbia Records and released the single "Diet Pepsi", which became her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and received platinum certification.[4]
Her debut studio album Addison (2025) debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and received critical acclaim. She later embarked on The Addison Tour and performed at major festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.
She is set to appear in the upcoming film Animal Friends (2027).
