Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is an English actress and activist. She gained international fame for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series. In the 2010s, she was among the world's highest-paid actresses and was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2015.[1]

Emma Watson was born in Paris, France, to English parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. She lived in France until the age of five before moving to England after her parents' divorce.
