Warren Edward Buffett (born August 30, 1930) is an American investor and philanthropist who is the chairman and former CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful investors in the world and is often referred to as the "Oracle of Omaha".[1]

He studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania before transferring to the University of Nebraska, where he graduated at the age of 20. He later earned a Master of Science in Economics from Columbia Business School, where he studied under Benjamin Graham.
