Early life
Dua Lipa was born on 22 August 1995 in London, England. Her parents are Kosovo Albanian and moved from Pristina. She grew up with a sister and a brother.
She was influenced by music from a young age, especially through her father, who was a musician. She began singing at age five and later took lessons at the Sylvia Young Theatre School.
At age 15, she moved back to London alone to pursue music. She posted song covers on YouTube and SoundCloud, which helped her gain attention.[2]

2019–2022: Future Nostalgia
Lipa released her second album Future Nostalgia in 2020. It became her first UK number-one album.
The album included major hits like Don't Start Now, Physical, Break My Heart, and Levitating. Levitating became one of the biggest songs globally.
The album won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. Lipa also won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards in 2019.[3]
2023–present: Acting and Radical Optimism
In 2023, Lipa released Dance the Night for the film Barbie, marking her acting debut.
In 2024, she released her third album Radical Optimism, which debuted at number one in the UK. The album included singles like Houdini, Training Season, and Illusion.
