Kunickaa Sadanand was born into a culturally diverse family. Her father, Manjunath Sadanand, served in the Indian Air Force, and her mother, Kalyani, had Punjabi-English roots, with Scottish ancestry through her maternal grandmother. She grew up as the eldest of four siblings.
